 ROYALTIES

Publishing income vs. recording income? Performance royalties vs. mechanical royalties?

Understanding what royalties a creative is due to be paid can be a nightmare. Then there's being registered in all the right places, getting accounted to, reporting every gig you do (and checking you've actually been paid), registering song-splits correctly, claiming your shares on co-writes... the list goes on.

If, like many, this seems like an overwhelming task to manage, you may wish to consider some additional, independent support in tracking and managing income you are due from your royalty statements (which all too often are not sent out promptly) to ensure you are earning everything you are due.

Unsure as to the difference between what PRS and MCPS do, or how performance income differs from mechanical?

Got a more complex matter you need some advice or support with

(would you like a more regular examination of your royalties, perhaps)?
